Abstract
Sajjad Haider was a well known dramatist, exceptional translator, insightful novelist and captivating short story writer. He was at home in Punjabi, Urdu and English language. His major work includes four collections of Punjabi dramas in which he dealt with grim realities and facts of society. Apart from that he has five books on his credit including a novel and a collection of Urdu short stories. His characterisation does not focus merely on appearances rather emphasizes on overall development. This research article intends to give a brief and concise summary of his literary works by reading between the lines to explore its semantic and pragmatic importance.
