Guidelines for the Authors

Research articles on Punjabi language, literature, art and culture are published in the Research Journal ‘Punjab Rung’. Authors should follow these instructions while sending research articles

  • Research article being sent to the ‘Punjab Rung’ is required to be unpublished and the same should not be sent to any other newspaper, magazine or research journal
  • Research article must be accompanied by an ‘Abstract’ in English containing 100 to 300 words without which the article will not be included in the Journal
  • Research article should be sent in soft, hard copy form and composed in ‘MS Word Programme’
  • First page of research article must contain name of the author, designation, institution, postal address, phone number and email
  • Scanned copy of ‘Publication Rights Agreement’ in JPEG format duly signed by the author must be sent with the research article or via email of the Journal
  • All research articles are peer reviewed by the experts. The research articles are published / not published in the light of said peer reviews
  • References should be given in Roman and according to the Chicago Manual (17th Edition) 
  • While referencing, full reference should be given at first place
  • For second time reference should be given in short form e.g. only name of author, book title and page number may be given. For same reference given consecutively, ‘ibid’ may be used; and page number may be added if it is different
  • Opinion / research presented in a research article is purely belonged to the author; the Institute may not agree with that opinion / research. For correspondence following address may be used
